It's time for the design talent in El Paso to "See & Be Seen."
Here's the chance for you, designers of all kinds, to tell the world about YOUR big ideas! Break out of those pesky specialties, see what cool things are going on right here in town. Who knows you might just stimulate some cross-discipline collaborations & connections & maybe even get inspired in the process.
We have invited designers in product design, interactive media, photography, illustration, fashion, graphics, film, video, architecture & landscape to stand-up and show the world what they can do.

Wendy Reyes |
| Vol. 03 | Category: Metalsmith |
 |
| “Art has been my passion since I was a child. I first started sketching in napkins before my mother got angry and bought me a sketching pad. Then when I discovered what I could do with colors, my interest in art became bigger. The love I had for creating art brought me to become more and more interested in learning about the great old masters and indeed all eras and phases of art.”
Wendy Reyes was born on June 11, 1990 in El Paso, TX. She grew up in a cultural atmosphere as she started piano and painting classes at the early age of 7. It was until high school that her passion for art exploited, making her win several scholarships as well as recognitions.
At the early age of 18, Wendy is very active in the El Paso art community. She has participated in numerous art shows and activities, including "Chalk the Block", “The Outlet Shoppes Mural”, “Western Impressions”, “Lancer’s Club”, etc. She has been a resident artist in: The Rose and Crown Gallery, 9900 Gallery, El Paso Crafters' Corner, and 300 Galleria. Wendy is also an entrepreneur, beginning her small business entitled "Portraits and Commissions"
Although very focused on promoting her artwork, Wendy is also a full time student at EPCC. She plans to transfer to NMSU in the future to pursuit her Applied Science degree specializing in hotel management (aside from art!).
"Art is not a hobby, is a way of life." |
