pecha kucha night - el paso
Pecha Kucha (pronounced peh-cha ku-cha)

It's time for the design talent in El Paso to "See & Be Seen."

Here's the chance for you, designers of all kinds, to tell the world about YOUR big ideas! Break out of those pesky specialties, see what cool things are going on right here in town. Who knows you might just stimulate some cross-discipline collaborations & connections & maybe even get inspired in the process.

We have invited designers in product design, interactive media, photography, illustration, fashion, graphics, film, video, architecture & landscape to stand-up and show the world what they can do.

Photographic artwork is understood differently each and every time it is viewed. It merges one's own experiences to reveal a deeper meaning in the image. While a single picture of a flower may carry no meaning to some to others it may symbolize life and its peaks and valleys, yet to another it may spark a vivid memory.

I've always had the need to create. Growing up I was always painting, taking pictures, writing stories and dreaming of other places and things. I created my own new world everyday. When I was just 10 years old I met a friend who taught me who I was meant to be, she was my pink Polaroid camera.

"I feel The El Paso Project will rejuvenate downtown El Paso by bringing back the 'walk-ability' concept of living and working in an urban atmosphere, taking advantage of all downtown El Paso has to offer. They expect to enhance El Paso's skyline and embrace, yet recreate, downtown’s life."
